To the delight of some unsuspecting fans, Chris Martin – the lead singer of Coldplay – put on an impromptu performance at a Delhi’s Summer House Bar late Wednesday night.
The performance was made even more surprising because no one even had any idea that Chris Martin was anywhere near India in the first place. Martin performed some beautiful and striking acoustic renditions of Coldplay’s more popular songs, including ‘Fix You’, ‘Paradise’, and ‘Viva La Vida’.
Also in attendance was Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto, who has been in India for the past few days for her campaign project ‘Girl Rising’.

All in all, it was one eventful night, which had Indians all over the country crying at their misfortune of missing out on a memorable performance. Maybe Chris Martin will go for round two and spring another surprise performance in the near future.
