The launch show is going to be hosted by VJ Anoushey and the star studded event will feature popular singers and celebrities.
Coke studio is one of the most popular and fruitful ideas, conceived by the famous Pakistani musician and producer Rohail Hyatt.
Coke studio season six will appear on television screens next month and is reported to feature Abrar Ul Haqq and Alamgir for the first time, while Ali Azmat and Ali Zafar are going to make their reappearance after huge public demand.
Ali Azmat’s ‘Garaj Baras’ which also featured Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, remained to be one of the biggest hits in Coke Studio’s history. On the whole, there are 17 musicians who will make their appearance on this year’s Coke Studio.
The sixth edition will consist of five episodes, spanned over alternate weeks.
For the last five years, Coke Studio has been broadcasted in each year during the summers which wasn’t the case this year. Although it has become late this year due to undisclosed reasons, tomorrow’s event denies the rumors suggesting that Coke Studio might not take place this year.
The International Corporation behind the show, Coca Cola, also recognized the potential of the Pakistani version of the show after they failed to muster such success in India.
Coke Studio has thrived under the excellence of Pakistani musicians and to celebrate this, Coca Cola will also launch a book on its ‘Five years of Success”.
