As the coronavirus pandemic has shaken the world, educational institutes, public places, and workplaces have decided to shut down for the time being. However, educational institutes have started offering online classes and offices are asking their employees to operate from home to maintain social distancing.

Speaking of which, Aamir Ibrahim, CEO Jazz, has also announced that they will be implementing ‘Work from home’ policy.

Here’s Aamir Ibrahim’s official message to his colleagues

“Dear Colleagues,

The world is going through an unprecedented crisis because of Covid-19 and the situation in Pakistan is likely to aggravate quickly.

I wanted to assure you that in these difficult times, your wellbeing is my foremost concern. I am also equally aware of our obligation to provide continuity of our services to millions of Pakistanis who rely on us for their daily communication, entertainment, banking, and information needs.

What we do know is that the best prevention of the coronavirus is social distancing and self-isolation. As such, Jazz will be moving to a mandatory work-from-home policy nationwide from March 17 to March 31, 2020. This is no different from Jazz Flex which most of you already use efficiently. Certain business-critical functions will still have to operate from the office in which your CX0s and HODS will help identify. Please keep checking PeopleHub for more information and stay closely in touch with your line manager to ensure business continuity for our customers.

During this time, all our 20 Experience Centers will also be closed and customers will be sent messages to rely on alternative mediums like WhatsApp 0300 3008000; Jazz World, call centers, online and social media channels. Asif Aziz and his team will be proactively sending messages to customers.

During this time the franchises are still open given the relatively smaller footfall on such locations. Khalid Shehzad has also proactively worked out staffing on the technical side. Ali Naseer will be rolling out critical communications to business customers.

Concerning business partners, I would expect all relevant staff to inform our stakeholders that our offices will be closed for the next two weeks and that we will not be entertaining any visitors. We are a digital company and using digital productivity tools, will enable us to serve our customers and continue to provide a consistently high quality of service.

As you work from home, please take a moment to review the remote working and Jazz Flex policy carefully on PeopleHub. If you face any connectivity challenges on Jazz Flex, please contact:
• IT and remote work helpline: 4848
• Employee hotline number: 223
• Coronavirus Crisis CFT coordinator: salman.tariq@jazz.com.pk

With the help of digital tools. let us support our teams through these difficult times.

Regards,
Aamir Ibrahim
