July 31st, 2019: Most celebrities were seen supporting Mahira Khan when she was heavily criticized by Firdous Jamal on Faysal Quraishi’s show.
This afternoon, the famous Shaan Shahid took to Twitter to express how he feels about the whole fiasco.

July 29th, 2019: Veteran actor Firdous Jamal appeared on Faisal Qureshi’s morning show and made a controversial comment regarding leading actress, Mahira Khan.
“Sorry to say, she has no skills of being a heroine, she is just a mediocre level model,” stated the senior actor, suggesting the Superstar should no longer play lead roles.
“She is not an actress and not a heroine.”
To make it worse, Firdous Jamal also made an insensitive comment about Mahira’s age and also compared her to Mehwish Hayat. “Mahira is overaged and actresses of her age usually play the role of mothers and not the main heroine” he had said.

“Mehwish Hayat is far better than Mahira Khan,” he remarked praising Mehwish over Mahira.
Social media went ablaze over the senior actor’s judgment and host Faysal was also criticized for commenting on her box office success and failures.

“As a host, I am and was shocked at our veteran actor Firdous Jamal’s comments on the live show for @TheMahiraKhan who is undoubtedly an icon of our industry and for our country,” wrote Faysal stating that he will address the issue in the following episode next week.

Other Pakistani stars were also quick to defend Mahira and condemn the senior actor’s comments.

Firdous Jamal is an expert in his field and has delivered numerous blockbuster hit dramas in the past that include ‘Khuda Aur Muhabbat’, ‘Nargis’ and ‘Waris’.
While everyone respects healthy advice and guidance from seniors, such comments regarding women and their age are uncalled for.
Mahira Khan’s upcoming film ‘Superstar’ will release this Eid-ul-Adha.
