Burj Khalifa Lit up to mark the 25th Anniversary of “Friends”!

Exactly 25 years ago, Rachel Green barged into Central Perk in a wedding dress and that was the beginning of “Friends“.

Since then, actors Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry became household names more fondly remembered by the characters they played.

Dubai’s iconic building, the Burj Khalifa lit up to mark the 25th anniversary of the iconic sitcom proving its popularity even more.

The light show displayed a number of iconic moments and motifs from the 236 episodes.

The Dubai Mall is also displaying the iconic orange couch, rug, and coffee table.

The cast all took to Instagram to share tributes to the show.

“Celebrating a Thursday night 25 years ago… THANK YOU to all the fans out there!! We couldn’t have done it without you,” shared David Schwimmer aka Ross.

“Celebrating a Thursday night 25 years ago. Thank you to all of our loyal fans across the world. You’ve certainly been there for us!” shared actor Courteney Cox also acknowledging Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry who do not have Instagram accounts.

“We might be in different places but we are connected,” wrote Lisa Kudrow while Matt LeBlanc stated that it “Seems like yesterday.”

Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, the first episode of the series was aired on September 22, 1994.
