Results till date by the PTA of the Bio-metric SIM Verification declare Mobilink as the winner by re-verifying around a whopping number of 21.31 million SIMs.
The Runner up is Telenor with 19.02 Million re-verified customers, followed by Zong with 12.98 Million re-verified customers and Ufone with 11.54 Million re-verified customers.
Warid settles below the list with 7.7 Million re-verified customers.
Sources from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority have confirmed that out of 103 million non-verified mobile phone users, 72.59 million users have been cleared from the verification process.
Around 11 million disowned SIMs have been blocked, summing up the figure of 84 million SIMs as authentic and active.
While 80 percent of the SIM users have already confirmed their verification, it is likely that the current stats from the Verification results will not differ much from the final results
With the last date for the bio-metric SIM Verification announced as April 12th, 2015; 19 million SIMs are still pending and awaiting verification.
