The winter is coming and so is our love for a hot cup of coffee!

To further steam this love, popular international coffee house chain from India, Barista Lavazza has recently launched their first outlet at Dolmen Mall Clifton, Karachi.

Barista Lavazza, named after the inventor of the concept of coffee blend, Luigi Lavazza, is like the Starbucks of India. Owned by the renowned Italian coffee company Lavazza, Barista first opened up in India back in 2000.

Since then, the coffee restaurant chain has opened up over 200 outlets across India and also, marked its name in Sri Lanka, Oman, UAE and now, Pakistan.

In Pakistan, Barista Lavazza has opened up at the one of the most popular hangouts of Karachi, the Dolmen Mall Clifton. Although, it is on the same floor as the food court, it is not part of it and is situated at the backend, at the Designer’s Avenue.

Just like some of Italy’s best coffees, hot and cold, the Barista is serving mocktails and snacks including a variety of pizzas, wraps, mini burgers, sandwiches and desserts like cheesecakes and chocolate fudge cake.

So far, the coffee house has received positive reviews for its well organized soft launch, branding tactics and steaming mugs of hot drinks.

Although a great experience, a trip to Barista will definitely be heavy on the pocket but the owner of the coffee house, Azar Kalwar, has justified the high prices of the items served, by claiming that the brand is premium and the items served are of top notch quality.

With high competition from the much loved Espresso and Gloria Jeans, we are yet to see how Barista Lavazza fares out in the growing coffee house culture of Pakistan.
