It has been almost a year since Ayesha Khan starred in a drama on HUM TV since the highly rated “Mujhey Khuda Pey Yaqeen Hai”. But she is back with a bang with a fresh story and a new role in the drama“Mehrum”.

Directed by Siraj ul Haq, penned down by the renowned writer Zafar Mairaj and produced by Moomal Shunaid, Mehraam is HUM TV’s latest serial, replacing the “Janam Jali” to be aired every Thursday.

Starring with Khan this time around is the Lollywood hero Moamaar Rana. The cast also includes a fresh face in a leading role Zaid Ahmed, along with supporting roles of Shazia Naaz, Shaheryar Zaidi, Agha Ali and Sajida Syed.

The first episode of Mehrum narrates the tale of Ayesha Khan as Iqra, a shy and introvert daughter of a religious scholar, possessing a conservative background. On the other hand, Moammar Rana as Zubair and Zaid Ahmed as Hamza play the role of two brothers of an empowered and wealthy family.

Enchanted with Iqra’s beauty, Zubair falls head over heels in love with her and can not stop thinking about his love-at–first-sight, though he is already engaged to someone else.

What twists and turns the story will next unfold; it is still yet to see. Also, Khan‘s and Rana’s fans will be eager to view their never-seen-before chemistry on the screen in the upcoming weeks.

Lately, Ayesha Khan has been playing quite many villainous roles in her dramas. Mehrum marks her return in a positive character, something not seen on the screens for a long time.

You can catch up with Mehrum every week on HUM TV on Thursday. 20:00 PST.
