Seems like Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan are the latest Pakistani celebrities to become a victim of Indo-Pak political chaos. While last week Atif’s concert was cancelled in Gurgaon owing to unrest in both the lands, the buzz is that he has also been chopped off the soundtrack of Bollywood’s upcoming movie Tum Bin 2. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is also suffering from a similar case!
The director of the movie Anubhav Sinha has apparently decided to drop Atif Aslam, who was roped in to do a rocking duet with Dwayne Bravo.
“The team of Tum Bin 2 wanted both Atif and Dwayne Bravo to come together for the peppy number. But in situations like these, we cannot even think of getting Atif on board. The song will only be sung by Dwayne as of now”, told a source to Bollywood website Spotboy.
Meanwhile, even, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is facing the heat as he too has been expelled from the soundtrack of TP Aggarwal’s Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana.
Seemingly, the producer wants Rahat to condemn Uri attacks if he wants to be a part of the movie.
This volleyball of attacks will continue against Pakistani celebrities as Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) has declared a temporary ban on Pakistani artists working in Bollywood.
This cold war between both the nation’s entertainment industry kick-started when the Indian nationalist party, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) kick-started an aggressive movement against Pakistan celebrities working in the nation.
Till when this backlash will continue, let’s wait and watch!
