After a nine year hiatus, one of the most talked about star couples of Hollywood, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will be seen together on screen in a new movie entitled “By the Sea”.

The story for the film is to be written by Jolie herself and is yet another addition to  her directorial work.

She made her debut as a film- maker with the film “In the Land of Blood and Honey”, an award winning film released in 2011. Earlier this year, Brad Pitt won an Oscar as a producer of the film, 12 Years a Slave in the Best Picture category.

It’s not a big movie; it’s not an action movie. It’s the kind of movie we love but aren’t often cast in. It’s a very experimental, independent-type film where we get to be actors together and be really raw, open, try things.” Jolie commented to US entertainment show Extra in May earlier this year.

The film is rumored to be a romantic, character driven drama which according to some reports will begin shooting next month. It will be shot on the island of Gozo, Malta as reported by Joseph Muscat, Malta’s Prime Minister who mentioned this in a statement to US weekly.

The couple last worked together in 2005 in “Mr and Mrs Smith” which earned $500 million globally and was also the starting point of their relationship.
