This just in! The Indian government has lifted the ban on 857 adult websites following the outburst on social media. But wait! There’s a catch! Internet service providers have been ordered to shut down sites that promote explicit material featuring children.
Sunny Leone, an ex of the industry has also spoken out against the ban in a perfect way. She poses in a pic with her husband, who is wearing a sando vest with the words ‘Sex Sells’. See the post below:

According to Reuters, the revised order is leaving service providers exasperated, who have been effectively asked to check and decide which sites need to be blocked. An official at one of India’s main telecom operators says, “This whole thing is very ambiguous. How are we supposed to check if the sites have child porn?” “Is this what we are supposed to do now?” referring to having to check sites for child pornography. Censorship of Internet content is common in India but the order to block the 857 adult sites was the first big crackdown on the adult websites.
In a surprising move, the Indian government has banned 857 porn websites and reportedly, many internet service providers including Vodafone, MTNL and BSNL are showing blank pages instead of most such sites. But why? Top Indian communications ministry officials said it was merely meant to comply with the Supreme Court’s observations and not to curtail internet freedom. “We are not a control-freak government and strongly object to the word Talibanisation,” Communications Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said. “On the contrary, we are pushing for higher levels of internet use through Digital India.” Naturally, this development has left many people shocked and annoyed. To us Pakistanis, it is quite common to see the following message whenever we try to open any adult websites: So we can surely feel the pain and dread that many of our beloved neighbours are going through. Many Indian youngsters took to Twitter to express their displeasure about this ban. Actress Sonam Kapoor happened to be one of them. Here’s what she posted on Twitter.
