Don’t you just hate it when people use words that sound similar but mean completely different things? What adds to the confusion is when people mix up everyday English words. They say ‘effect’ when they mean ‘affect’; say ‘let me advice you’, when they clearly want to ‘advise you’.

But what can one do? To error is human and given that English isn’t spoken or understood by the majority of the Asian population, we can’t really choose to punish every person who writes ‘isle’ when they actually meant ‘aisle’.
