Audi A3 Sedan’s advanced park assist option includes the parking system plus with front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera as well as the new 360° display of surroundings. The park assist function with display of surroundings searches for suitable parking spaces along the road by means of ultrasonic sensors and calculates the ideal parking path for cross parking as well as kerbside parking spaces. Once a parking space is identified, the system signals the driver who has to stop the vehicle and select reverse gear. During the parking maneuver, steering is then performed automatically, while the driver only needs to accelerate and apply the brakes.
