Instagram is like a scrapbook you keep in your pocket. Just like any other one, your application is filled with pictures which are an important part of your life and of course, the important people are there as well.

However, one annoying feature which we all hate is not being able to upload pictures to our profiles or pages directly from the desktop. The browser version of the application allows users to do almost everything else except for uploading images, till now.

Felix Sun, a programmer, has created an application called Windowed App which now allows users to upload images from their desktop version of Instagram. Sun explains;

“Instagram already provides the functionality to upload photos through a web browser, but sadly this feature is locked to mobile web browsers only. Windowed overcomes this issue by pretending to be a mobile browser, allowing you to visit the Instagram mobile website directly from your Mac or Windows PC.”

One of the best things about this application is that it does not require access to your password or username. You just log in directly into the Instagram website. Once you have logged in, click on the camera icon in the top bar to start a photo upload.
