With the majority of companies worldwide aiming for budget smartphones, Sony continues to maintain its premium positioning by unveiling yet another high-end smartphones range, Xperia Z5 which includes Sony Xperia z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 Premium.

Sony’s latest smartphone range, Xperia Z5 includes 3 quite similar smartphones, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 Premium.


While all three phones boast of some of the best in-house technologies of the Japanese smartphone giant, the price tag with which these features come are no less than hefty too.

The prices are unconfirmed for now, but rumor has it that the prices will fall in the same range as the immensely popular iPhone 6, that is, around USD 650.

While most other features stand same for the other two phones in the range, Xperia Z5 Premium boasts of the world’s first 4K display, created with Sony’s Triluminos TV screen tech. The Premium version also sports a 5.5-inch display, measures at 180 g and hosts a 3,430mAh battery to support the 4K display for two days in the running. Xperia Z5 Premium is expected to be released in November.

The Xperia Z5 Compact, on the other hand, is slightly smaller standing at 4.6 inches display with 720p HD screen, 1280×720 pixels resolution and a 2700mAh battery.
