The Government of Sindh has declared April 4 as a public holiday across the province. The holiday has been announced to commemorate the 38th death anniversary of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

This means that all offices working under the provincial government along with courts and educational institutions will remain closed tomorrow on Wednesday, 4th April 2017.


The founder of Pakistan’s People Party, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was hanged to death on April 4, 1979, at the Rawalpindi district jail in the rule of General Ziaul Haq.

On this annual occasion, members of PPP gather in Ghari Khuda Baksh at the grave of their late ruler and pay him tribute.
