After marking his name in the world of cricket, Shahid Afridi has earned a much-deserved nomination as one of the World’s Top 20 Charitable Athletes.

Everyone’s favorite, Boom Boom Afridi, established his charity organization, Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF), back in March 2014 with an aim to help improve the lives of underprivileged Pakistanis.


With the slogan “Hope – Not Out!”, the Pakistani all-rounder has quickly earned a place in DoSomething.org’s list of World’s Top 20 Charitable Athletes.

SAF started off with the cricket champion donating his own earnings to provide free healthcare and education to the people of his hometown in Pakistan, considering it as a way of giving something back to his countrymen, for their undeterred support and love. Today, the organization provides free medical facilities to as many as 14 villages in Kohat, Pakistan.
