Oman’s first budget airline, SalamAir has recently opened its operations to Pakistan and has started a successful thrice-weekly direct flight from Sialkot to Muscat on the 16th of May. The Omani airline has now announced that they will be adding two more cities, Karachi and Multan.

The flights from Karachi to Muscat is set to begin in the coming months while flights from Multan begun on the 23rd of May. Prices begin at Rs 9,900 for an international flight, the Omani Airline is sure to give tough competition for Pakistani airlines such as PIA, Airblue, and Shaheen.

International airlines such as Fly Dubai may face issues as the newly launched Salam Air now offers a cheaper alternative to Pakistani travelers.

Here are the three types of easy fare options introduced by SalamAir:

  1. Light – For passengers who travel light and only require hand baggage.
  2. Friendly – Includes 20 kg of baggage and 7kg of hand luggage
  3. Flexi – Advantages of the friendly fare, priority check-in service and change flights free of cost.

SalamAir has partnered with Pakistan’s biggest travel services provider, Gerry’s to give customers an added benefit and ease of booking.
