Good news has been announced for those passengers travelling to and from Pakistan, rules have been revised and the State Bank of Pakistan has raised the limit on Tuesday by more than three times.

For those who will be travelling to India, the amount has changed from Rs. 500 to Rs. 3000 the SBP mentioned in a statement.

However, the new limit of Rs. 10000, are only for Pakistani bank notes. Passengers will otherwise be allowed to carry up to $10,000 or equivalent notes of any other currency while travelling internationally. This falls under the SBP’s foreign exchange rules.

The revision in policies have been made to facilitate travellers and consider the changing times that have increased the cost of goods and services. Previously the limit for currency carrying to India was only Rs. 500 and Rs. 3000 for the rest of the countries.
