Thinking to renew your CNIC or want to make a new one? National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced an online system for issuance and renewal of CNICs.
It is the first of its kind facility through which Pakistani Citizen, residing in the country and abroad can get their CNICs renewed and issued through the online system. NADRA inaugurated this facility on Monday during which Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar said that in order to help people in getting their CNIC’s renewed and issued this step has been taken so that they can get rid of standing in long queues outside NADRA offices.

He further said that through this online system one can easily know the status of his application and just with one click one can renew their identity cards. Thanks to NADRA for taking this step and making peoples’ lives convenient.
Pakistani Citizens can apply online through this amazing facility for renewal or issuance of their CNICs. Not just that, people can get their identity cards delivered to them at their doorstep within just 10 days. People can pay the fee for identity cards online through a debit or credit card.
The online facility has following features to offer:
1) Application for new overseas CNIC (NICOP) for the first time
2) Reissuance of CNIC if lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed
3) Renewal of CNIC if it has expired
4) CNIC modification if national identity data needs to be amended
5) Application for converting CNIC to a chip-based Smart-ID card
