Momal Sheikh is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Abhay Deol and Diana Penty in next project of Tanu Weds Manu’s director Aanand L Rai. The movie is titled ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’, as confirmed from the actress herself.
According to Hindustan Times, a source revealed that directors of the upcoming movie, Aanand L Rai and Mudassar Aziz, had discussed the script of the movie with Pakistani actor, Jawed Sheikh, and informed him that they were looking for an actress for an “important part” in the movie.
However, the veteran actor did not recommend his daughter, Momal Sheikh, as confirmed by Aziz. It was only when Momal happened to be present during one of the meetings with the Pakistani actor, did the directors decided to get her “instantly on board”.
Aanand L Rai has previously given hits like Tanu Weds Manu, Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Raanjhanaa with Kangana Ranaut and Sonam Kapoor.
While starlets like Mahira Khan and Humaima Malik have already made their mark in India, lets see how far Momal goes in impressing the audience across the border.
