LG AND RED BULL RACING JOIN FORCES IN FORMULA 1™

LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics, has become a Team and Technology Partner to Red Bull Racing in the FIA Formula One World Championship™.

The new multi-season partnership extends LG’s successful ongoing relationship with the series. Dell organises road-shows for notebook lovers

100th Jazz Super SMS Khazana winner announced

Mobilink, Pakistan's market leader in cellular services and part of Orascom Telecom Holding, has recently announced the 100th winner of Jazz Super SMS Khazana, an exciting trivia-based contest which gives Jazz customers a chance to win cash prizes on daily, weekly and instant basis.

Since April 2010, Mobilink Jazz, country's premiere pre-paid brand has rewarded more than 71 participants with daily prize of Rs 75,000 each, while 12 Jazz customers have been rewarded with weekly prize of Rs 550,000 each. PTCL broadband subscribers reach 0.5m

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) claims that it has acquired over 500,000 broadband users in 600 cities and towns.

PTCL Broadband service has recently achieved a milestone by doubling its broadband data rate speed by introducing a new 8MBPS package, which is effective from July 15, 2010.

In addition to the new package, all existing 2MBPS and 4MBPS customers have been upgraded to 4MBPS and 6MBPS data rate respectively on the same tariff. This makes PTCL the highest data rate broadband service provider in the country.

It has become the leader in the proliferation and awareness of Broadband services across Pakistan. Not only this, to cater to the diversified needs of its broadband subscribers across the country, PTCL introduced WiFi modems with its fixed line broadband service. The WiFi modems provide customers with the convenience to move around freely and enjoy secure wireless high-speed broadband connectivity within their homes matched by no other wireless broadband service provider.

Mobilink concludes awareness drive

Mobilink will conclude its awareness drive on Friday (today) to support the National Polio Campaign (NPC) and the Polio Control Cell. As an integral member and advocate in the fight against polio, Mobilink has conducted 3 rounds of awareness in the past reaching out to millions of Pakistanis.

Earlier this year Mobilink also set up a short code, 7654, to facilitate the Polio Control Cell in meeting their goals. The Polio Control Cell, a special initiative by the Polio Eradication Fraternity, aims at reaching out to those children who have missed their vaccination in the NPC. Activated immediately after the recently conducted national round, the Cell will also conclude on July 16.

Mobilink customers can SMS Polio to the short code, 7654 which prompts the Cell to send polio teams to vaccinate the missed children. More than 13,000 parents have already contacted the PCC through the short code. Omar Manzur, Director Corporate Social Responsibility and PR, Mobilink said, "We have pledged our support to eradicate polio from the country and are pleased to see that the anti-polio fraternity is growing. We would like other companies to come forward and support the initiative and help achieve the goal of a polio free Pakistan." Pizza Hut a hit in kids with Summer Camp 2010

Pizza Hut organized a happening Summer Camp at six different locations in Karachi.

The camp was operational from 11am to 2pm for kids aging between 5 to 12 years. The activity was facilitated by the graduates of Karachi School of Arts along with Pizza Hut staff members who monitored kids and played a vital role in guiding them throughout the activity.

Children were involved in a number of activities including cutting different shapes, gluing, painting with water colors, sketching and shading techniques, paper art/origami, collage work, clay modeling etc. Kids were churning out amazing pieces of art such as colorful African masks, different paper animals, beautiful landscapes, clay pots while exploring their hidden artistic talent. Kids from different backgrounds were gathered as a team and with paramount hospitality from Pizza Hut staff and friendly environment; were all set to enjoy every bit of the activity.

During these fun filled activities, children enjoyed lip smacking pizzas and drinks everyday and were indulged in a unique experience that included visiting the kitchen of Pizza Hut and making their own pizza.

At the end of the activity, kids were awarded certificates and art kits.

Pizza Hut is all geared up to make a difference in children’s lives by interacting with them and providing them a secure venue for the playful activities in the future.
