It is a moment of pride for the whole nation! The 20-year old captain of Pakistan’s Women Football team, Hajra Khan becomes the first female football star to mark her game debut in Germany, Europe.

Invited to play for three top European soccer clubs as a professional player, the successful striker seized the worthwhile opportunity and fulfilled her long-waited dream to be a part of big European teams one day.

“Playing in Europe has been one of those dreams that I have been aiming for since the very beginning,” Hajra said in an interview to The Express Tribune.

Departing Monday for Germany for a three-week stay, Hajra will be giving pre-season trials for the football clubs namely, FSV Gutersloh, SGS Essen and VFL Sindelfingen.

“I’m glad I’ll be going to Germany where football is very competitive, and I’m prepared. I know it won’t be easy, but I want to get the word out there that Pakistanis can play football”, Hajra commented further.

Brimming with sportsmanship, the football player revealed that she is not scared of rejection but has now set her mind on proving herself on the western side of the world.

But this is not the first time Khan has made the entire nation swell with pride.

Previously, the emerging soccer champ also made it to Maldives to play in the National Women’s league Sunrise Hotels & Resorts Football Club.

The winner of the 2011 South Asian Beach Game held in Sri Lanka, Hajra is also the only athlete in the history of Pakistan’s women football to record 100 goals in her club career.

At such a young age, Khan has proved herself as not only the finest football player, but also a bonafide role model for all the women in the sports industry. She surely achieved in her career what many fail to do in such a short time.

Congratulations to Hajra Khan on her massive feat and we wish her all the best for her new endeavor!
