Moving past Ramadan and Eid, the next occasion on Muslims’ leader is Hajj, the holy pilgrimage. In Pakistan, the Hajj Directorate has started its training programme for pilgrims across the country. Lahori pilgrims can go to Darul Hujjaj, where training will be conducted from August 3 until August 6.

According to Lahore Hajj Directorate’s Deputy Assistant Director Zakaullah, more than 140,000 people from Pakistan would perform Hajj this year.

He said 73,000 people would perform Hajj under the government Hajj scheme; the remaining would be served by private Hajj group organizers approved by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Who Is The Training For:

The training programme has been arranged for those performing Hajj for the first time.

Parties going via private Hajj group organizers should contact them for training.

How Will The Training Be Conducted:

The pilgrims would be divided into groups. Each group will be given a day-long training during the three-day camp. The pilgrims would be trained in various Hajj rituals and made aware of administrative requirements at the Haji camp in Makkah.

The pilgrims have been sent DVDs carrying information about Manasik-i-Hajj (Hajj rituals). Additionally, an information desk had also been made operational at the directorate.

At least two Hajj Directorate officials would accompany the pilgrims to Makkah. While the dates of departure for Makkah would be announced soon, special Hajj flights have been arranged for pilgrims.
