Stories, a trend which first started off from Snapchat, invaded Instagram, captured WhatsApp, and made their way on to Facebook Messenger.
Guess what? This feature is now about to conquer Facebook Desktop as well if it hasn’t already.
Facebook itself has added Stories to Instagram, Messenger, and its flagship app. It even tried a Stories-like feature in WhatsApp.
Elsewhere, Stories is inspiring redesigns of other top apps, including most recently, Tinder, Match, and Skype.
Yes! The stories are everywhere and you just can’t simply escape them!
Facebook stories have been a part of Messenger for quite some time but no one seems to give it much importance. Now, when you will open your Facebook Page from Desktop, you’ll be able to see the stories on the top right of your News Feed.
The Stories will consist of photos and video snippets that will be visible for 24 hours before they disappear.
Snapchat has 400 million stories per day, whereas Instagrammers put up 250 million stories every day. Facebook stands last in the race.
Therefore, Facebook has come up with this new update which will hopefully increase the number of their Stories Viewers.
