As girls around the world continue to look for their Raj, the legendary love story, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge celebrates its 1000 weeks of success. As of this week on 12th December, the classic romantic Bollywood flick will become the longest running Indian movie in the world.
As part of the celebrations the Yash Raj Film studios, has arranged a number of activities throughout the week, with the iconic couple Shahrukh Khan and Kajol.
Amongst these is an episode of the renowned comedy show, Comedy Nights with Kapil Sharma, featuring the main cast and crew of the celebrated movie. The hilarious episode, full of nostalgic moments back from the days of DDLJ shooting will be aired this week.
Social media networks are already abuzz with #ThousandweeksofDDLJ waiting for the episode to air. 
Another tribute to the movie celebrating its 1000 weeks is the release of the book titled, Aditya Chopra relives Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, written by the famous author, Nasreen Munni Kabir.
The book tells Aditya Chopra’s side of story of the making from DDLJ, featuring information and anecdotes that have never been made public before, along with a number of unseen pictures from during the shooting of the movie.
The director, known for making iconic romantic Bollywood movies, made his directorial debut with DDLJ and in this book, he shares how he went about the journey and how it changed his life and the Bollywood’s paradigm of romance forever.

Shahrukh Khan and Kajol will also do a special performance at an event to be held at Maratha Mandir Cinema on 12th December 2014 as part of the celebrations.
The cinema has been screening the movie for around 20 years now and plans on continuing do so as the movie continues to attract crowds in huge numbers.
