The Sindh government authorities have taken down 1300 billboards in Karachi due to safety concerns in the current weather.  Not only do these billboards cause a mess on the landscape visually, but they are also a cause of major clutter and accidents in Karachi.

According to a recent report by Media Track, there are around 4500 billboards and signboards across the metropolis city of Karachi. This has been considered as a very vast amount and several of these billboards are placed wrongly in places where it can be very hazardous to the safety of the citizens.

Another factor why they are being resolutely taken down by the government is the sudden change in Karachi’s weather is the thunderstorm and strong wind’s predictions as well as the monsoons in Karachi.
