About the Event

Brandsynario’s team recently landed at the Atrium Cinemas to check out the crazy crowd on the second day since the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part-2 in Pakistan! What we see over there are Potter fans (of all ages mind you) waiting in long lines to get a chance to grab a ticket of the much-awaited movie in 3D at the Atrium Cinemas. According to the Assistant Manager of the Atrium Cinemas’ admin, Mr. Nawaz, the tickets for the first few shows of the movie were sold out almost immediately! People started arriving within a few minutes after they announced that the movie will be shown at the cinema in 3D. Also according to him, during the first day, so many of HP fans came to watch the movie dressed in witch hats and black attires. As for the movie itself, it can be justifiably said it was an immediate success in keeping its audience glued to their seats from start to the very last second. The final battle of the ten year series starts only minutes after the start of the movie; the battle, the music, the feeling of ‘this-is-it!’ the final reality, the mixture of happy sad feelings towards the end, all of it was larger than life! The Harry Potter saga started back in 1997 when the first book of the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was released and was an immediate success making its author, J. K. Rowling one of the most famous writers of recent times. In 2001, the movie based on the first book was released worldwide. The book series released by J. K. Rowling ended on the 7th book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows a couple of years back. The final movie was released everywhere in 3D on the 15th of July, 2011, while it was released in Pakistan on the 22nd of July. It has been reported (source unknown) that the final movie brought a staggering $43 million the very first day that it was showed around the globe! Despite of a few crucial parts from the book being missing in the movie, the movie did not crumble under the pressure of expectations of millions of its fans; instead, it can be said that it definitely upheld expectations, all ‘til the very last bit.
