raveena tondon

Hopping on board for the latest biopic trend in Bollywood is actress and former model, Raveena Tandon.

With Vidya Balan turning down the role of playing late Benzair Bhutto in a biopic, Raveena Tandon has stepped up and accepted the part of the former Pakistani Prime Minister.

Sources reveal that Raveena Tandon has read the script and is willing to act as the titular character. According to an unnamed source, Raveena Tandon was quite positive about the role after her meeting with the scriptwriter, “A couple of days ago, Raveena had a meeting with the scriptwriter and he narrated the subject to her. She has read the script and liked it too. It is a powerful character and she is keen to take it up.”

The role and the script impressed the Bollywood star so much so that she is even willing to produce the movie. Once the required script changes are finalized, the veteran actress will start looking for a director and the rest of the cast of the movie.

“The story is loosely based on Bhutto’s life. Raveena has suggested some changes in the script and once they are accommodated, she will start looking for a director and finalise the rest of the cast as well.”

While the rumors doing round for Raveena Tandon’s comeback to Bollywood with biopic are quite strong, the actress herself had been unavailable for comment.
