In April 2015, ARY group launched the first of its kind prestigious movie showcase in the form of ARY Film Festival, to celebrate the back-to-back victory with different cinematic productions.

The Festival aims to give the youth and film-making enthusiasts a vital platform to celebrate their passion for art and hence cater to the community of Pakistani and International filmmakers so as to reach the audience at a global level.

The ARY Film Festival is an ultimate opportunity where popular names from the global media industry can share their knowledge.

The submissions for the following key categories are open:

  • Fiction (Feature Film) – 60 mins and above
  • Fiction (Short Film) – 5 mins to 60 mins
  • Documentary (Feature film) – 40 mins and above
  • Documentary (Short Film) – 5 mins- 40 mins

The deadline for submissions has been extended to 15th of November 2015, from the previous deadline of 31st October.

ARY undertakes the responsibility to style its movie gala around the legendary movie festivals ‘Tribeca’ and ‘Cannes’. Global Film-makers are to be invited to the grand event. Apparently, the ARY Film Festival is an ultimate entertainment and learning platform as it hosts panel discussions by inducting workshops with industry gurus.

The local Film Festival trend is yet to gain prominence in Pakistan as Kara Film Festival is the only known festival, exhibiting the art of story-telling.
