Pakistani actor, Ahsan Khan is all set to co-host an indo-pak music reality TV show, Asia’s Singing Superstar, a Zee TV production, with Indian playback singer, Shweta Pandit this November.

The upcoming music competition will also feature Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali and Indian singer, Shankar Mahadevan as mentors and judges for the participants.

According to Khan, he was approached by Zee TV for the offer to co-host the show and he hopes that the show will relax the increasing political tension between India and Pakistan.

16 Contestants chosen from auditions held in UAE, Pakistan and India will be divided into two teams, each mentored by one of the judges.

Rumor has it, Asia’s Singing Superstar’s grand finale will feature legendary ghazal singer Ghulam Ali. The show is expected to hit the airwaves from 1st November 2015 and Pakistanis will be able to catch it on Geo TV.
