If your manicure routine is due an update for spring, then you’re in luck — when it comes to nails there are plenty of new colors to get excited about this season.
1. Get buff
Before you get started, you’ll need to properly prep your nails. At the end of last year Revlon launched its new “Shine Addict Nail Buffer,” a battery-operated roller buffer with interchangeable grain densities.
The buffer can be used to prepare nails for a new coat of polish, but it also features two “shining” rollers that leave your nails gleaming for a polished, natural look. (£29.90, approximately $42.)

2. Get matte
Matte nails are set to be huge this season, and if you don’t believe us then just ask Kylie Jenner, whose second round of a collaboration with US brand SinfulColors launched on April 1. Following the release of her first nail collection “King Kylie SinfulShine”, which consisted of 20 jewel-toned hues in a gel-like formula, the latest line features pure satin matte polishes in 16 spring-like shades. (from $2.98.)

3. Get floral
For its Spring 2016 makeup collection, Dior turned to the gardens of founder Christian Dior’s childhood villa in France. Titled “Glowing gardens,” the fresh, floral range includes a series of nail polishes in feminine, botanical shades such as dreamy green and pretty pinks. ($27.)
4. Get boho
Yves Saint Laurent’s new “Boho Stone” line uses subtle shimmers and pearly finishes for a light spring look. Two new “La Laque Couture” pearly nail polishes have been added to the range to accompany the face and eye palettes — a minimalist pearly pink titled “Love Pink,” and a fun bright jade shade named “Peace Green.” ($28)

5. Get natural
After a winter of goth-inspired makeup, the natural look is coming back into play for the warmer months. Giorgio Armani led the way when he sent models down the catwalk a few weeks ago at Milan Fashion Week wearing nails that were buffed to perfection and coated in a slick of “Armani Nail Lacquer” in shade 101 “Zero.”
